Monika Ostrowska

Graduate of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Szczecin (MSc. Environmental Engineering). She started her professional career in 2003 as an environmental inspector at the Municipal Plant of Green, Roads and Environmental Protection in Kołobrzeg, where she was responsible for the environmental management of seven internal plants, i. e. a composting plant with DANO technology, a landfill, a municipal waste management and segregation plant at source, a green plant, a road plant, an animal shelter.

In the years 2005 2007 he was an environmental inspector and an internal auditor at the Kołobrzeg City Hall responsible, among others, for issuing decisions on environmental conditions, reviewing waste decisions, reviewing geological documentation, supervising animal shelters, maintaining technical coastal strip, liquidation of wild waste dumps, drafting resolutions i. e. maintaining order and cleanliness in the municipality, environmental protection programme, asbestos disposal programme and developing procedures and implementation of ISO 2001-9001 system.

From 2007 to 2019 he was the Chief Environmental Specialist at Goodvalley Agro S. A. (formerly Poldanor S. A. ) and from August 2019 he was the Head of the Environmental Department responsible for obtaining and maintaining environmental permits, including 16 integrated permits and dozens of different permits, i. e. for the introduction of gases and dust into the air, emission notifications, water permits, permits for the production and processing of waste. She is also responsible for investment processes and preparation of reports for biogas plants for pig farms as well as for environmental monitoring and reporting, i. e. environmental fees, KOBiZE, PRTR, waste reports.

He has been cooperating with BIO-INDUSTRY since 2014 and coordinates the company’s activities in the field of investment and environmental protection services. Through the Ministry of Climate, Member of the Technical Working Groups (TWG) in Seville to develop BAT conclusions for slaughterhouses and animal by-products processing (including biogas plants processing animal by-products). Member of the Working Group on Biowaste and Fertilizer Use of Fermentation Substances operating at the Ministry of Climate, RES Department.
